Developer at JetBrains and software engineering student at RAF in Belgrade. I build backend systems, the cloud they run on and the Android apps that talk to them, usually in that order.

Backend first,
everything else second.

I study software engineering at Računarski fakultet in Belgrade and spend most of my time on the server side: APIs, data models and services that run reliably in the cloud. It's the part of an app nobody notices until it breaks, which is exactly the point.

I'm a developer at JetBrains and their Campus Ambassador at Union University. I also used to moderate JetBrains' Reddit community, so I've read just about every opinion on IDEs there is. A few of them convinced me to start building for the IntelliJ Platform myself.

Projects

Built, shipped and mostly documented.

4 projects

  1. 01

    Kimba Android App

Kotlin · Jetpack Compose · Android

Context. Kimba pairs a scent diffuser with sleep data from wearables. It needed a companion app to set up both devices, control them and show how the night went.

Build. An Android app in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose: onboarding for the wearable and the diffuser, scheduling for multi-capsule scents, and nightly sleep reports.

Takeaway. Complex UI in Compose, an architecture that survives new features, and a smooth interface on top of hardware that doesn't always answer.

    PyCharm Variable Type Plugin

    Java · IntelliJ Platform SDK

Context. A hands-on way into the IntelliJ Platform SDK, and into how an IDE actually understands Python code.

Build. A status-bar widget that shows the inferred type of the variable under the caret, from int and str to list[str], and updates as the caret moves.

Takeaway. The Python PSI, the IDE's type inference through TypeEvalContext, editor and caret events, and packaging a plugin with Gradle.

    YouTrap Backend

    Kotlin · REST API

Build. A REST backend for YouTrap, written in Kotlin. [ONE-LINE DESCRIPTION — TO ADD]

  4. 04

    DraftRoom

    Java · Swing

Build. A desktop editor for architectural floor plans in Java Swing: draw the plan, place elements and edit them on a custom canvas.

Takeaway. Custom rendering, and the kind of mouse-handling code that teaches patience.
